To
potential inventors:
Before getting to the engine
and its engineering
I'm going to make a few observations, and express a few acerbic
opinions.
I'm also going to relate a few
lessons I've
learned while patenting and working on my inventions which I expect
will
help other inventors protect their endeavors.
If you're an individual who
might some day
file for a patent in the U.S. and wish to avoid the problems I've
experience
while patenting and developing a substantial new technology, I suggest
you use a patent attorney.
Subsisting on a social security
disability
pension negated this option for me.
In addition to filing your
application for
patent at the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO), use the Patent
Cooperation
Treaty and file additional applications in at least two other
countries.
Multiple filling will give your
formal documentation
two additional "secured" locations for reference.
The foreign patent platform
documentation
can still be relied upon for original content, in the event that
your
records, your attorneys records, and the PTO records are all criminally
modified (not an impossibility).
Your attorney might even advise
filing your
initial application in a foreign country.
